Managing Member

Ian is the Managing Principal and CEO at Olive Tree Holdings. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

At Olive Tree, Ian oversees the company and all affiliate platforms – including Olive Tree Affordable Housing and Olive Tree Ventures, the PropTech venture investment arm of Olive Tree Holdings. Under Ian’s leadership, Olive Tree has acquired and transformed over 16,000 units of workforce and affordable housing communities across 8 states and has deployed over $250 Million in capital expenditures to enhance the lifestyles of its residents.

Prior to forming Olive Tree, Ian was a principal at One Wall Partners. At One Wall Partners, Ian spearheaded the partnership’s multifamily acquisitions and capital raising. Prior to joining One Wall Partners, Ian was an associate at Duval and Stachenfeld, one of the leading real estate law firms in the world. Prior to Duval and Stachenfeld, Ian was an associate at Intersection Partners, a private investment firm based in Westport, Connecticut, focused on developing highly scalable strategies for aggressive growth industries including health care, renewable energy, education and infrastructure.

In addition to Ian’s professional responsibilities, Ian is a co-founder and board member for Pay Away The Layaway, a nationally recognized non-profit corporation committed to serving low income families across the United States. Ian also serves as a Strategic Advisor to Stake, the first fintech platform built to create tenant wealth through cash back rewards, and a Board Observer to Moved, a disruptive logistics platform and marketplace.

Ian holds the CCIM designation and earned his JD from the Hofstra School of Law and BA and MBA from Binghamton University. Ian is also a member of YPO and was featured by the New York Real Estate Journal in 2022 as a Notable Leader in Real Estate.

Michael Rosenfeld

Principal

Michael is a Principal at Olive Tree Holdings. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Michael is an investment professional with over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, private equity, and early stage venture capital investing. He has a proven track record in sourcing, analyzing, and managing deals through the investment life cycle.

Previously, Michael worked for 11 years as the Chief of Staff to the Founder/Chairman of a private family investment firm with a $360 million commercial real estate portfolio comprised of over 1.5 million square feet from New York to Miami Beach. The diverse real estate portfolio included office and industrial assets, multifamily communities, single family homes, parking garages, and restaurants. During Michael’s tenure, the real estate portfolio generated over $26 million annually in rental revenue and $15.5 million in free cash flow. In total, Michael successfully completed $157 million in real estate transactions including acquisitions, debt refinancing, and dispositions.

In September 2018, Michael was elected to the Board of Directors of IEH Corporation (OTC: IEHC), the largest independent manufacturer of hyperboloid circuit board connectors in the US. In business since 1941, IEH serves the aerospace and defense, oil and gas, medical and industrial markets with customers in the United States, Canada, European Union, Asia and the Middle East. At the annual shareholder meeting in November 2018, Michael became the only Director nominated to serve on the firm’s Audit and Compensation Committees.

Michael earned his BA from Emory University and graduated with his MBA in Corporate Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.

Yuriy Gelfman

Principal

Yuriy is a Principal at Olive Tree Holdings. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Yuriy brings extensive institutional capital markets experience to Olive Tree’s leadership. Previous to Olive Tree, Yuriy spent three and a half years at Citadel Investment Group, one of the world’s top hedge funds. At Citadel, Yuriy was a tenured investment professional in one of the firm’s equity businesses where he had P&L responsibility for a $300 million portfolio focused on home building, building products and construction materials sectors.

Prior to Citadel, Yuriy spent six years at GLG Partners, managing risk and conducting extensive due diligence. Prior to GLG Partners, Yuriy began his career as an investment banker at Lazard in its M&A group in New York.

Yuriy graduated from Duke University with a BA in Economics.

Stephanie Akselrad (Rothman)

General Counsel

Stephanie is the General Counsel at Olive Tree Holdings.

As General Counsel, Stephanie is responsible for all legal matters for the company and also oversees transactional activities and implements corporate policy initiatives. Prior to joining Olive Tree, Stephanie was an associate in the real estate department at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and prior to that, at Duval & Stachenfeld LLP. At Skadden and Duval, Stephanie handled a range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, leasing and financing for clients all across the capital stack, involving property both in the U.S. and abroad in Europe and Asia.

Stephanie is admitted to the bar in both New York and New Jersey. She earned her JD from Brooklyn Law School and BA from Bucknell University.

Ted B. Slevin

Chief of Staff

Ted is the Chief of Staff and Associate General Counsel at Olive Tree Holdings.

As Chief of Staff, Ted assists the CEO on initiatives throughout the Olive Tree Family of companies, with a focus on streamlining strategy and operations. As Associate General Counsel, Ted assists the General Counsel in all legal matters for the company, including transactional activities and the implementation of corporate policy initiatives.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Ted was the Managing Director of Legal at Meridian Capital Group, where he oversaw all legal matters for Meridian, including a broad range of corporate matters and commercial transactions. Prior to that, an associate in the real estate department at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where Ted represented clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, leasing and financing.

Ted is admitted to the bar in New York. He earned his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and BS from Georgetown University.

 

Fess Wofse

CFO

Fess is the Chief Financial Officer at Olive Tree Holdings.

Fess Wofse joined Olive Tree in February 2019 as its Chief Financial Officer.  Fess oversees the financial accounting and asset management teams, which are responsible for corporate and property accounting, investor reporting (both financial and tax), performance reporting, and collaborating with the company’s property management teams on operational initiatives.  Fess also focuses on investment and tax structuring, due diligence and other strategic initiatives and is responsible for creating and implementing accounting, reporting and cash management policies and procedures.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Fess was the CFO at Thor Equities and prior to that he was the CFO for the real estate group at Apollo Global Management.  Previously, Fess was the Director of Finance for Citi Property Investors and was a Senior Manager in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in real estate.  Fess has significant real estate portfolio and corporate M&A transaction and management experience.

Fess holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University and a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University.  He has been an active member of NCREIF and NAREIT and has worked on several committees to address emerging accounting issues as they relate to real estate companies and managers.  Fess is a CPA and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ted Einhorn

ASSOC. GEN. COUNSEL

Ted is the Associate General Counsel at Olive Tree Affordable Housing.

In this role, Ted Einhorn will be overseeing transactional activities for Olive Tree Affordable Housing. Prior to Olive Tree, Ted was Corporate Counsel, Real Estate & Procurement of AmTrust Financial, the largest privately owned insurance company in America which focuses on workers compensation and specialty risk. In this role, Ted was responsible for on legal matters related to AmTrust’s leased and owned property portfolio as well as real estate issues that arose in the context of AmTrust’s corporate transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions, and dispositions. Additionally, he supported the claims and procurement departments in various contract matters.

Prior to joining AmTrust, Ted was the General Counsel for The NRP Group, one of the largest developers of affordable and market rate multifamily housing in the country. In this role, Ted supported the development, construction, and management functions of NRP, including coordination, negotiation and closing of debt and equity financing of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and Market Rate developments.

Prior to joining NRP, Ted worked in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio for two different firms focusing on real estate transactions and financing, environmental law and general business matters.

Ted is admitted to the bar in Ohio. He earned his JD from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 1997 magna cum laude and his BA from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 1991.

Ted is a past Board Chair of the Gross Schechter Day School in Pepper Pike, Ohio and has served as a Trustee of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland and as a Trustee of Congregation Shaarey Tikvah where he has chaired the Ritual and Worship Committee and its most recent Rabbinic Search Committee. Ted is also a past Trustee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, where he has served on the Community Relations Committee and chaired the Young Leadership Division. Ted was the recipient of the Federation’s Yanowitz Young Leadership Award in 2003.

Ted and his wife Amy live in Beachwood, Ohio and are the parents of Emily, Orly, and Kobi. In his free time, Ted enjoys exercise, including golf, yoga and playing soccer and basketball, as well as reading, baking cookies and the practice of mixology.

Darryl Jordan

Corporate Controller

Darryl is a Corporate Controller at Olive Tree Holdings.

Darryl Jordan joined Olive Tree Holding in August 2021 as the Corporate Controller. Darryl is responsible for overseeing corporate accounting, management reporting and the payroll team.

Darryl is an experienced Corporate Controller with over 20 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Olive Tree Holdings, Darryl was the Corporate Controller for Newmark for over 8 years. Previously he spent several years in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Marcum specializing in real estate. Additionally, he has held various roles at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and DRA Advisors.

Darryl holds a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Michele Nolty

Chief People Officer

Michele is the Chief People Officer at Olive Tree Holdings and the Life Properties.

As the Chief People Officer, Michele provides leadership and guidance to the Company’s People function. Acting as an expert on all people and organizational issues, she serves as facilitator for scaling and developing long-range talent management goals, driving cultural initiatives, advancing performance management, progressing rewards and recognition programs, and furthering engagement, retention, and recruiting efforts.

Michele brings over 20 years of human resources management experience to Olive Tree, having previously worked at Cohen & Steers leading their global human resources function and Allianz Global Investors where she led the human resources department and supported various subsidiaries. Ms. Nolty has a BS from Baruch College–The City University of New York (CUNY) and MS in Human Resource Development and Leadership from Villanova University.

Kevin Davis

Sr. Corp. Accountant

Kevin is Senior Corporate Accountant at Olive Tree Holdings.

Kevin Davis joined Olive Tree in June 2021 as a senior corporate accountant where he works on management accounting, reporting and analysis. Prior to Olive Tree, Kevin was a Senior Accountant at Wunderman Thompson New York where his responsibilities included Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Reporting and Budgeting & Forecasting. Prior to Wunderman Thompson New York, Kevin was an Experience Associate in the assurance practice at PwC within the asset management space. Kevin holds an MS in Accounting from Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus and BS in Finance from Longwood University. Kevin is a CPA in New York.

Clay Boyer

CCO

Clay is the Chief Construction Officer at Olive Tree Holdings and The Life Properties.

Clay Boyer manages all aspects of construction and maintenance operations for Olive Tree. Clay brings over 25 years of industry experience, performing in leadership roles in various areas of multifamily housing to include conventional, military and single-family. Clay worked with MAA early in his career managing capital and maintenance operations as Regional Service Director for 15K units, managing approx. 11 mil in CAPEX projects annually. Recognized for outstanding achievements and departmental contributions, Clay moved into the AVP-Director of Maintenance Operations role for MAA based out of Memphis with oversite of 40K units. In a similar capacity, he worked with Bell Partners as a Regional Director throughout the Southeast, managing 35 conventional properties in Texas, Arkansas, and Florida, before moving into a rewarding position in military housing. Clay helped to renovate and manage 5K homes at Ft. Riley, KS., home of the Big Red One, for 6 years serving as Director of Capital, Maintenance and Purchasing before becoming Operations Director. Preceding his appointment to the CCO role for Olive Tree, Clay served as the department head of capital, maintenance, and renovations for Progress Residential based in Atlanta. Clay has a well-established track record of leadership in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the team.

 

Claudine Lostao

Chief Design Officer

Claudine Lostao is Chief Design Officer at Olive Tree Holdings.

Claudine Lostao joined Olive Tree with over 33 years experience in the architectural interior design industry. She began her career working in Jamaica designing the interiors for Super Clubs and Sandals all-inclusive hotels. After moving back to the USA, Claudine led the design for several noteworthy projects including the American Airlines Miami Heat Arena, Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and Walt Disney World Resort. She has also held senior management design and business development positions in hospitality and restaurant market sectors, working with Kimpton Hotels, Sonesta Hotels, Clarion Hotels, the McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurant Consortium and Boathouse Restaurants.

Most recently Claudine worked at Marriott International’s Global Brand Strategies for Sheraton, focused on building owner and operator relationships as a trusted advisor and driving the execution of select high-impact and high-investment hotels. For over six years, Claudine also served in senior leadership roles at Starbucks Coffee Company where she led the design studios encompassing design oversight for over 4,000 stores across North America. Claudine also served in a leadership role at &pizza company based in Washington, D.C. where she was the Vice President & Head of Design and Construction.

Throughout her profession Claudine has been dedicated to the education and mentoring of young designers. To this end she has served as an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University and Miami-Dade Community College.

Claudine studied Interior Design at the University of Florida and graduated from the College of Architecture with High Honors and Presidential Recognition.

Jamin Harkness

President, PM

Jamin is the President of The Life Properties, the property management affiliate of Olive Tree Holdings.

Prior to The Life Properties, Jamin was the Executive Vice President and Partner at The Management Group (TMG) where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of TMG’s portfolio of properties. Jamin has oversight experience across the full range of multifamily properties from ground up to value-add. Prior to TMG, Jamin was Vice President at Wesley Apartment Homes, and served as Vice President of Operations for 18 properties totaling 8,000 units. Previously, he worked with Fifteen Asset Management as Senior Vice President, overseeing 18,000 total units in 13 cities spanning nine states. Jamin has also worked with Equity Residential (REIT) as Southeast Marketing Director.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and has a MBA from Kennesaw State University. He has completed post graduate work and holds CAM and CAPS designations from the National Apartment Association, and completed multiple OSHA Certifications.

Jamin is also deeply committed to philanthropy and civic duty. He is an active mentor, educator and fundraiser with Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. He is President of the Duluth Cluster School Foundation, President of the Board of Directors for Professional Adoption and Family Services, Member of the Coleman School Council, Member of the Kaiser Executive Advisory Employment Council, Member of the Atlanta Apartment Association Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Jamin has been a Guest Lecturer at UGA and GA Tech multiple times, speaking on Premises Liability and Multifamily Technology and Analytics. A sought after speaker, Jamin speaks at multiple national industry conferences regularly. Jamin was elected in November 2021 to serve as a Duluth City Council Member (Duluth, GA) for a 4 year term.

Aaron Maas

EVP, PM

Aaron is the Executive Vice President of The Life Properties, the property management affiliate of Olive Tree Holdings.

Aaron leads and oversees multiple critical departments of The Life Properties, including Marketing, Maintenance, Affordable Housing Compliance, and Risk Management. Additionally, Maas collaborates closely with The Life Properties’ leadership to continue driving operational excellence and the implementation of strategic initiatives that enhance team member satisfaction and the overall customer experience.

Before The Life Properties, Aaron worked at Origin Investments, a top decile fund manager with $2B AUM. In his role, he drove performance on the Investment Management team’s multifamily portfolio. Additionally, he elected third party managers and gleaned best practices while guiding the property-level business plans. His asset management role tapped into his 14 years of experience in finance, leasing & marketing, value-add construction management, property management technology, and training.

Aaron has experienced the value that integrated management provides in the past, including at Steadfast Management Company, an owner and investor in over 40k units nationwide. There he was able to capitalize on investments made in three REITs and ensure beneficial results. Additionally, he worked for the Atlanta based owner-operated portfolio at Avila Real Estate and with Merion Realty Partners which focused investment funds in the southeast and mid-Atlantic.

Aaron studied Political Science and Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is a member of the Atlanta Apartment Association, a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, and Certified Apartment Manager. Aaron lives with his wife and two daughters in Alpharetta, GA. He is an avid outdoor hobbyist and ultramarathon runner.

Andrew Schramm

Vice President

Andrew is a Vice President at Olive Tree Holdings.

Andrew is responsible for analyzing and performing due diligence on acquisition opportunities, tracking and reporting asset performance across the portfolio, and conducting market research.

Prior to Olive Tree, Andrew worked in Morgan Stanley’s Commercial Real Estate Finance (CREF) group where he helped develop and implement a new balance sheet lending platform by leveraging Morgan Stanley’s existing high-net worth client network. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, he focused on sourcing, analyzing and performing due diligence on real estate lending opportunities across all asset classes and geographies. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Andrew worked at Marcus & Millichap in the Capital Markets group and specialized in multifamily loan originations.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Economics.

Jeff Ehrlich

Vice President

Jeff is Vice President at Olive Tree Holdings.

Jeff is responsible for the identification, analysis, and underwriting of various acquisition opportunities. Jeff is also focused on transaction due diligence, and market research.

Prior to Olive Tree, Jeff worked in investment banking in the Financial Sponsors Group at Deutsche Bank where he focused on advising private equity firms, and their portfolio companies, in leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and other leveraged finance transactions across a wide range of industries.

Jeff earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and graduated with his M.B.A. with focuses in Finance and Strategy from NYU Stern School of Business.

Julie Surago

Vice President

Julie is Vice President of Special Projects at Olive Tree Holdings.

Julie works cross functionally with the Investor Relations, Acquisition, and Capital Events teams for Olive Tree Holdings.

Previously, Julie worked at RobertDouglas, a boutique hospitality investment banking firm, where she focused on raising debt and equity for hotels and hospitality companies. Julie’s responsibilities included underwriting, market research, creating offering materials, and marketing investment and financing opportunities. Before RobertDouglas, Julie worked at CBRE as a Senior Financial Analyst with the hotel brokerage team in San Francisco and as a Senior Consultant with the Hotel Advisory group in New York and Boston.

Julie holds a Master of Management degree in Hospitality from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration.

David Poretz

Vice President

David is a Vice President at Olive Tree Holdings.

By leveraging his experience in capital markets, operations management, and portfolio turnaround, David is responsible for optimizing the management of Olive Tree’s portfolio. As Vice President, David leads a team of asset managers who utilizes best-in-class technology solutions partnered with process management to reduce costs and maximize the efficiency of leasing, construction, billing, and collections. The team oversees vendor management and delivers portfolio performance according to business plan.

Prior to Olive Tree, David was the Operating Efficiency Specialist at Fortress Development Group and effectively reduced operating expenses in over 30 properties, while increasing revenue via his lead generation strategies and financial modeling. David draws from his breadth of experience in operations, tax and utilities consulting, and market research for his role.

David is a graduate of Binghamton University with a BS in Accounting.

Kevin Marshall-Moran

Vice President

Kevin is a Vice President at Olive Tree Holdings.

Kevin is involved in all aspects of Olive Tree’s investment, capital formation, and strategic growth initiatives. Prior to Olive Tree, Kevin worked at Morgan Stanley, where he advised public and private real estate companies on over $30Bn of mergers & acquisitions, debt & equity issuances, and structured capital raises. Kevin began his career at Charles River Associates, where he consulted for governments & corporations in arbitration matters, including several World Bank ICSID proceedings.

Kevin earned his BA (International Studies and Economics) from Boston College and his MBA (Finance and Real Estate) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Auger

Vice President

Chris Auger is the Vice President of Business Operations and Enablement at Olive Tree Holdings.

Chris brings an in-depth knowledge of building and optimizing end-to-end technology stacks, system infrastructures and data-driven ecosystems. Prior to joining Olive Tree, Chris has spent the last decade creating and optimizing go-to-market strategies and processes across multiple channels in high-growth SaaS businesses. He was Director of Global Operations at New Zealand based start-up of the year, Whip Around Inc, and prior to that, Associate Director of North American Channel Sales for Fleetmatics (FLTX). Chris was instrumental in building out the channel partner program, which generated over $63M in TCV. Fleetmatics was later acquired by Verizon (VZ) for $2.4B.

Despite being a two-time recipient of The Michael J Pethal Scholarship for Printing Arts at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Chris’ passion has always been in optimizing business velocity.

Xun Qiu

Vice President

Xun is the Vice President of Transactions at Olive Tree Holdings.

As Vice President of Transactions, Xun oversees the transaction management process for acquisition, refinance and disposition of all assets by bringing innovative business and organizational development program from concept to implementation at scale. Prior to Olive Tree, Xun served in a variety of roles at The RADCO companies. Most recently, she oversaw the successful acquisition and disposition of 14,000+ units valuated over $1.4B in conjunction with monthly financial reporting in her role in Asset Management.

Her previous role as Director of Transitions and Ancillary Services includes managing the national ancillary program of $1.2M. Prior to that, she served as the VP of Special Projects where she restructured the company’s vendor management process to improve the efficiency across 4 different departments. Xun started her tenure as Director of the Elite Travelers program, a department she founded with the mission to stabilize under performing properties through on-site support via daily operations process improvement and training. The Elite Travelers program supported over 50 real estate assets with 20 associates across the country and a $1.1M payroll.

Xun started her career at Aspen Square Management as a traveling management consultant, bringing occupancy for the 20+ assets she oversaw from 80% occupancy to 95%+, increasing rental income, reducing delinquency to 2% or less and increasing resident satisfaction to 4.5+ out of 5.

Xun is an alumna of Agnes Scott College with BA in Anthropology and Sociology.

Danielle Klapper

VP of Asset Mgmt

Danielle is the Vice President of Asset Management at Olive Tree Holdings.

Danielle Klapper joined Olive Tree in June 2021. Danielle’s role includes managing the operational and financial performance of the multifamily portfolio.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Danielle was the Asset Manager for RPM Development, an affordable housing developer and manager in New Jersey, and Antheus Capital, a multifamily developer and property manager with properties across the Midwest that specializes in historic preservations. Danielle was responsible for budgeting, managing capital project progress, and creating and implementing technological solutions to improve operational efficiency. Previously, Danielle was a research analyst at a financial tech firm in Israel.

Danielle holds an MBA from Bar Ilan University in Israel, a BS in Mathematics from Columbia University, and a BA in History from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. She currently also serves as President and Board of Director for the Israel Opportunity Energy LLC.

Claire Harris

Inv. Relations Dir.

Claire is the Investor Relations Director at Olive Tree Holdings.

As part of the Capital Markets team, Claire is responsible for crafting and executing investor communications. Claire is also focused on investor onboarding and quarterly portfolio reporting.

Prior to Olive Tree, Claire served as the Investor Relations Director at Time Equities Inc., where she managed investor communications and investment procedures across a series of real estate funds. Prior to Time Equities Inc, Claire was a Legislative Aide to the Office of the House Majority leader of Hawaii. While working with the House Majority Leader’s office, she focused on tracking new legislation and fielding constituent requests among various other initiatives of the Office.

Claire graduated from American University with a B.A. in both Political Science & Women, Gender & Sexualities Studies.

 

Cathy Cao

Vice President

Cathy is the Vice President of Digital & Marketing at Olive Tree Holdings.

Cathy brings her depth of experience developing digital products, integrating marketing technology stacks, and executing strategic, data driven, digital marketing campaigns to Olive Tree. Prior to joining Olive Tree, Cathy led the digital marketing and growth efforts at Meridian Capital Group, and prior to that, Cathy was the first marketer at the real estate technology unicorn: Compass. At Compass, she was integral in building the marketing platform for their Real Estate agents and scaling the offerings from 60 to 3000 agents over 4 years.

Cathy graduated from University of Michigan with a BA in Arts and Ideas. She is also an instructor for Digital Marketing at General Assembly and Workforce Institute.

Christina Tomaselli

Senior SFDC Manager

Christina is the Senior Salesforce Manager at Olive Tree Holdings.

As Senior Salesforce Manager at Olive Tree Holdings, Christina is responsible for implementing and maintaining Salesforce solutions for the company. Christina works closely with various teams to implement robust best-in-class technical solutions, optimize business processes, and support data driven continuous process improvement.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Christina led process improvement, Salesforce development, and operational enhancements in the healthcare sector. Christina led the technical solution team for multi-million dollar projects, participated in national quality improvement initiatives and supported data collection and reporting initiatives across 15 major hospitals.

Christina has seven Salesforce certifications including Application Architect and is also a Lean Six Sigma green belt.

In her free time, Christina enjoys volunteering with Safe Kids International educating the public about car seat safety.

Taylor Barnhart

Asset Manager

Taylor is an Asset Manager at Olive Tree Holdings.

Taylor Barnhart joined Olive Tree in October 2019. Taylor’s diverse role includes management of lender and investor reporting, construction draw oversight, corporate accounting, treasury management, as well as systems implementation and design across the portfolio.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Taylor was the Corporate Controller for a Houston based property management firm and managed the on-boarding and stabilization of acquisitions. Previously, Taylor was the CFO of a LIHTC management group based in Denver and helped create, implement, and manage the accounting department for a rapidly growing portfolio. Taylor has over twelve years of property accounting and leadership experience which includes senior housing, commercial property management and assets with Section 8 & Section 42 LIHTC compliance requirements.

Taylor holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Seattle Pacific University. He is a former Rotary member and has served various advisory and leadership roles within the Denver Apartment Association.

Jeremy Ehrhart

Asset Manager

Jeremy Ehrhart joins Olive Tree Holdings as Asset Manager.

Jeremy’s role includes managing the operational and financial performance of the affordable housing portfolio.

Prior to joining Olive Tree Holdings, Jeremy was a Senior Manager at Capital One and Senior Vice President at Bank of America overseeing a Low Income Housing Tax Credit, New Markets Tax Credit, and Historic Tax Credit equity & debt portfolio.

Over the last 25 years, Jeremy has held many roles in affordable housing asset management, including Director of Asset Management and Operations at Boulder Housing Partners and Senior Asset Manager at Mercy Community Capital, a CDFI lender. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida.

Corey Grab

Project Director

Corey is the Project Director at Olive Tree Affordable Housing.

Corey brings over 30 years’ experience with more than $2.5B in affordable and market rate multi-family housing community investments including new construction, rehab, adaptive re-use, mixed-use, historic renovations and Capex projects throughout the United States with budgets ranging from $5MM to $150+MM encompassing 14,700+ units constructed and developed.

While Corey was at US Bank Community and Development Corporation, (USBCDC), as their AVP of Construction Risk Management, he spearheaded the newly formed Construction Risk Management and Monitoring Division managing construction risk, due diligence and underwriting for USBancorp construction loan debt and USBCDC equity investments of LITHC, NMTC, HTC assets and, HUD partnered community developments totaling $1.3B. More recently, Corey was Vice President of Construction Management with Gardner Capital simultaneously overseeing $331MM of 28 new affordable construction 9% community developments totaling 2,509 units throughout 13 states.

Corey earned a B.S. in Construction Management from Missouri State and, a B.S. in Business Management and Organizational Leadership from Maryville University St. Louis. He is also active in Habitat for Humanity and an avid supporter of St. Louis Children’s Hospital KIDstruction Week.

Stephen Dronen

Dir. of Development

Stephen joins Olive Tree Holdings as Director of Development.

Stephen is responsible for overseeing Olive Tree’s new construction development platform as well as its affordable housing redevelopments.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Stephen worked for specialized development firms KEAN Ventures and The Fortus Group, where he led development of complex, mixed-use developments in urban settings. Prior to that, Stephen managed downtown development for the City of Cincinnati, where he led the city’s role in redeveloping over a million square feet of downtown properties. Stephen began his career working for the Miller-Valentine Group, one of the largest affordable housing developers in the country, where he participated in the development of more than 1,000 affordable apartments. Across his career, Stephen has facilitated over $650 million of real estate and developed over 3,500 apartments.

Stephen is a LEED® Accredited Professional and holds a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Real Estate and Urban Analysis from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Xavier University.

Jonathan Gerstein

Director of BI

Jonathan is the Director of Business Intelligence at Olive Tree Holdings.

Jonathan is responsible for the business analytics, data mining, visualizations, and statistical analysis as head of Business Intelligence at Olive Tree. Jonathan brings a broad background in his experience within pharma, ad-tech, finance, and luxury. Jonathan’s career spans over a decade as an Analytics thought-leader, most recently at Outbrain where he led the analytics arm of a 1B+ revenue native ad-tech organization.

Jonathan studied statistics and data science at MIT and business administration at Columbia University. When not uncovering data insights at Olive Tree, Jonathan spends time with his wife and 3 children and is on the board of several non-for-profit organizations in his community of Clifton, NJ.

Rita Boscaino

Dir. Benefits & HRIS

Rita is the Director of Benefits and HRIS at Olive Tree Holdings and the Life Properties.

As the Director of Benefits and HRIS, Rita oversees all employee benefits and HRIS. Rita brings over 20 years of experience in human resources management with a specialization in employee benefits and human resource operations.  Prior to joining Olive Tree, she managed the employee benefits for North America at Carl Zeiss, Inc and prior to Carl Zeiss, Inc., she managed the benefits and HRIS at Cohen & Steers.

Ms. Boscaino has a BS from Mercy College and a MA from Long Island University.

Ana Bukic

Payroll Manager

As a Payroll Manager at Olive Tree, Ana helps lead the payroll department to provide quality service to team members. Prior to joining Olive Tree, Ana worked within the healthcare and biotech industry as a Payroll Manager at Roivant Sciences Inc. There, she managed the payroll department for the company, processing payroll for over 500 employees and collaborating with the Human Resources department on benefits enrollment and the on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.

Prior to Roivant Sciences Inc, Ana was a Payroll Director at Accountants on Air, where she processed multiple weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly, scheduled and off cycle, multi-state payrolls using various ERP and payroll platforms.

Ana is a Certified Payroll Professional and a member of the American Payroll Association. She holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Belgrade.

Taylor Basile

Associate Attorney

Taylor is the Associate Attorney at Olive Tree Holdings.

As a part of Olive Tree’s Legal Team, Taylor assists the General Counsel in all legal matters for the company, including transactional activities and the implementation of corporate policy initiatives.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Taylor worked at Wilshire Real Estate Advisors, a distressed real estate and loan advisory and development company. There, she provided acquisition due diligence and asset management services throughout the United States.

Taylor is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Providence College where she received a BA in Political Science. In addition to her academics, she served as an Executive Article Editor on the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, where she wrote her note on international corporate tax law.

Jonathan Keren

Senior Associate

Jonathan is a Senior Associate at Olive Tree Holdings.
As part of the Acquisitions Team, Jon is responsible for analyzing, underwriting, and performing due diligence on new acquisition opportunities. He also focuses on the operational side of the business, tracking and reporting asset performance across the portfolio.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Jon was an Acquisitions Analyst at AR Global, a $12 billion institutional real estate asset manager which has invested in nearly 1,300 properties across 8 countries.  At AR Global, Jon concentrated on deal underwriting, market research, due diligence, and asset management for its diverse portfolio.

Jon holds a BA from the University of Michigan and a MS in Real Estate Finance from New York University.

Jordan Stummer

Associate

Jordan is an Acquisitions Associate at Olive Tree Holdings.

Jordan is responsible for the identification, analysis, and underwriting of various acquisition opportunities. Jordan is also focused on transaction due diligence, and market research.

Prior to Olive Tree, Jason worked at SB Pacific Group LLC., a California based real estate firm which owns and operates over $450M of multifamily assets across the U.S. Specializing in both Acquisitions and Asset Management, Jordan focused on sourcing, analyzing, preparing due diligence, and managing performance of new and existing investments. Jordan and his team successfully acquired $100M+ in multifamily real estate throughout his tenure. Prior to SB Pacific Group LLC., Jordan worked as a broker at Newmark where he specialized in landlord representation in the Manhattan office leasing market.

Jordan is a graduate of the Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a BS in both Finance and International Business.

 

Michael Nemati

Associate, TRX MNGMT

Michael is a Transaction Management Associate at Olive Tree Holdings.

As part of Olive Tree’s Transaction Management team, Michael is responsible for data analysis and visualization, due diligence, and performance reporting.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Michael worked at Jones Lang LaSalle. As an Office Research Analyst for Atlanta’s Research team, he provided market analytics, data visualization, and written reports for office tenants.

Michael holds a BA in Economics from Covenant College, with minors in Mathematics and Philosophy & Religion.

 

Eddie Dunn

Senior Analyst

Eddie is a Senior Analyst at Olive Tree Holdings.

As a part of Olive Tree’s Acquisitions and Capital Markets teams, Eddie is responsible for the preparation of offering materials, capital markets/investor relations efforts, and market research. Eddie also focuses on identifying, analyzing, and underwriting new acquisition opportunities.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Eddie was an intern with Olive Tree across the Capital Markets and Acquisitions teams. During his internship Eddie focused on market research, data collation and analysis, and various ad-hoc projects across disciplines. Before interning at Olive Tree, Eddie was a Residential Lending Intern at Finance Ireland in Dublin. Eddie’s responsibilities at Finance Ireland centered around residential mortgage underwriting, due diligence, and macroeconomic research.

Eddie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Real Estate, Finance, Investment & Banking, and Risk Management.

Rahul Garg

BI Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Olive Tree, Rahul is responsible for statistical analysis, crunching numbers, identifying data trends, and dashboarding.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Rahul was working as a Data Scientist at Galaxy Media where he was the data lead for PokerGO online gaming. He was responsible for business analytics and making dashboards for the executives to showcase KPIs. He is passionate about digging deep into data insights to create easily understandable and actionable stories for stakeholders to utilize as support for business decisions.

Rahul received his MS in Statistics with Data Science from California State University and B. Tech in Mechanical and Automobile Engineering from Delhi Technological University in India.

Sam Herbst

Senior Analyst

Sam is a Senior Analyst at Olive Tree Holdings. 

As a part of Olive Tree’s Investment Strategy & Execution team, Sam is responsible for analysis related to corporate, investment, and capital markets strategies. Sam also focuses on identifying, analyzing, and underwriting new acquisition opportunities.

Prior to joining Olive Tree full-time, Sam was an intern focused on market research, data collation and analysis, and tracking asset performance across the portfolio. Before interning at Olive Tree, Sam was an office leasing intern with Lee & Associates in New York City. At Lee, Sam primarily performed market research and worked with both tenants and landlords to navigate the challenges the Covid-19 pandemic presented to the industry.

Sam is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BBA in Real Estate/Urban Land Economics and Marketing, with a focus in Sports Business.

Daniel Kim

Senior Analyst

Daniel is a Senior Analyst at Olive Tree Holdings. 

As a part of Olive Tree’s Acquisitions and Capital Markets teams, Daniel is responsible for the identification, analysis, and underwriting of various acquisition opportunities. Daniel is also responsible for the preparation of offering materials, capital markets/investor relations efforts, and market research.

Prior to joining Olive Tree full-time, Daniel was a summer intern focused on market research, data collation, and analysis. Before interning at Olive Tree, Daniel was a Multifamily Debt & Structured Finance intern at CBRE in Los Angeles, CA where he provided ongoing support with current deals, including market surveys, proposal reviews, lease reviews, and financial analysis. $1.6 billion worth in deals were closed during his time on the team with over $2 billion personally underwritten.

Daniel is a graduate of Harvard University with a BA in Economics.

Julia Shabshis

Comm. Strategist

Julia is the Communications and Digital Strategist at Olive Tree Holdings. 

As a part of Olive Tree’s Marketing and Digital teams, Julia is responsible for the communications strategies for Olive Tree and its affiliates across owned channels and PR. Prior to joining Olive Tree full-time, Julia was a summer intern supporting the Capital Markets team, and the Olive Tree Ventures platform.

Prior, Julia worked as a Marketing Strategy Associate at AEBOV Industrial Real Estate Brokerage, where she developed a comprehensive social media strategy for the startup’s launch and organized several social media campaigns to convert leads into clients. Julia also has experience in B2C marketing. She interned at Marie Claire and then Ellen Lange in marketing, PR, and social media.

Julia is a graduate from The George Washington University with a BBA, concentrating in Real Estate and Marketing.

 

Max Wofse

Analyst

Max is an Analyst at Olive Tree Holdings. 

As part of Olive Tree’s Asset Management team, Max is responsible for identification and analysis of financial and operational performance across the portfolio. Max is also responsible for system implementation and design as well as process management to reduce costs and maximize efficiency. Prior to joining Olive Tree full-time, Max was an intern with Olive Tree across the Acquisitions, Capital Markets, and Asset Management teams. During his internship, Max focused on market research, data collection and analysis, and tracking asset performance across the portfolio.

Max is a graduate of Binghamton University’s School of Management with a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and Business Analytics. 

Gabriel Lopez

Tech Ops Specialist

Gabriel is a Technical Operations Specialist at Olive Tree Holdings.

As a Technical Operations Specialist at Olive Tree Holdings, Gabriel is responsible for bringing bring innovation and efficiencies to all technical services.

Prior to joining Olive Tree, Gabriel worked in IT Operations at Campaign Monitor, a global technology company that provides a leading email marketing platform used by over 250,000 customers. There, he supported the company’s 500 employees, acquiring experience with Networking, Security, Hardware Configuration and Operating Systems while earning his CompTIA A+ certification. Gabriel is extremely passionate about computers and discovering new ways to improve performance through technology.

Beyond his work with Olive Tree, Gabriel strives to serve his community. He is an active member of NPower, a non-profit institution dedicated to launching careers in IT by offering quality training and job placement services to individuals from underprivileged communities.

Gabriel earned a B.A. and B.S. from Stony Brook University with a dual major in Business Marketing and Economics.

Kim Moran

Office Manager

Kim Moran is the New York Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Olive Tree Holdings.

Kim is an established management associate with 15+ years of experience supporting C-Level, office operations, and human resources administration across a variety of industries.

Prior to Olive Tree Holdings, Kim’s work history includes Vecchione, Vecchione, Connors & Cano, LLP Law Firm as the Office Manager for core operations, human resources, and payroll management. She also previously worked as at Alba Wheels Up International, Inc. as the Corporate Administrator providing office administration and support for the owners and principals, senior executives, and other key staff members.

Kim also brings 11 years of experience serving as office manager of Miller Moran Properties, where she was responsible for startup operations, implementations and office management. Additionally, Kim previously provided support for the Goldman Sachs Global Controller’s software program for systems in New York, London, Frankfurt, and Tokyo.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury.

 

Amanda Marotta

Amanda is an Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Olive Tree Holdings.

Amanda Marotta joins Olive Tree as New York Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Principals and the Portfolio Manager.

Prior to Olive Tree, Amanda worked at Crown Acquisitions Fund and MHR Fund Management as an Administrative Assistant. She draws from her prior career in public relations and fashion, to support executives and the office with an incredible attention to details.

Amanda earned her BA from CUNY Kingsborough and studied business fashion at FIT.
