Ted Einhorn

Our People
Ted is the Associate General Counsel at Olive Tree Holdings.
In this role, Ted Einhorn will be overseeing transactional activities for Olive Tree Affordable Housing. Prior to Olive Tree, Ted was Corporate Counsel, Real Estate & Procurement of AmTrust Financial, the largest privately owned insurance company in America which focuses on workers compensation and specialty risk. In this role, Ted was responsible for on legal matters related to AmTrust’s leased and owned property portfolio as well as real estate issues that arose in the context of AmTrust’s corporate transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions, and dispositions. Additionally, he supported the claims and procurement departments in various contract matters. Prior to joining AmTrust, Ted was the General Counsel for The NRP Group, one of the largest developers of affordable and market rate multifamily housing in the country. In this role, Ted supported the development, construction, and management functions of NRP, including coordination, negotiation and closing of debt and equity financing of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and Market Rate developments. Prior to joining NRP, Ted worked in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio for two different firms focusing on real estate transactions and financing, environmental law and general business matters. Ted is admitted to the bar in Ohio. He earned his JD from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 1997 magna cum laude and his BA from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 1991. Ted is a past Board Chair of the Gross Schechter Day School in Pepper Pike, Ohio and has served as a Trustee of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland and as a Trustee of Congregation Shaarey Tikvah where he has chaired the Ritual and Worship Committee and its most recent Rabbinic Search Committee. Ted is also a past Trustee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, where he has served on the Community Relations Committee and chaired the Young Leadership Division. Ted was the recipient of the Federation’s Yanowitz Young Leadership Award in 2003. Ted and his wife Amy live in Beachwood, Ohio and are the parents of Emily, Orly, and Kobi. In his free time, Ted enjoys exercise, including golf, yoga and playing soccer and basketball, as well as reading, baking cookies and the practice of mixology.
